  1. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
    Measures page loading performance; how long it takes for users to view most of the content. A good UX score requires LCP to occur within 2.5 seconds from when the page first starts loading.
  2. First Input Delay (FID)
    Measures a page’s interactivity; how long it takes users to be able to do something on a page. A good UX score requires an FID of 100 milliseconds or less.
  3. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
    Measures the page’s visual stability; how stable the elements that constitute the page are during loading, providing users with immediate orientation. A good UX score requires pages to maintain a CLS of 0.1 or less.

While the Core Web Vitals initiative aims at improving the reality of both publishers and users, it poses publishers with some major challenges, including:
